When to replace the cartridge (official timing)

Per Amway’s public eSpring support / cartridge-replacement materials:

To maintain your water quality, the filter cartridge of your eSpring™ Water Purifier must be replaced once a year or every 1,320 gallons, whichever comes first. If your water contains large amounts of particulates, you may need to change the filter cartridge more often to maintain an acceptable flow rate.

(Amway also states the same interval as once a year or once every 5,000 litres, whichever comes first.)

Monitor cues (from Amway cartridge-replacement guidance):

Newer units may also notify you via the Amway™ Healthy Home app and/or a display light on the unit. Follow the cues on your model.

This page does not make disease, cure, or medical claims about drinking water. For any product performance claims, use only Amway Claim Sources (packaging, amway.com catalog, authorized literature)—unchanged.

What you need before you start

  1. A new genuine eSpring replacement cartridge that fits your unit (US shop SKU example: eSpring™ e3 Carbon Filter, Item #122943—confirm fit on Amway’s product page).
  2. Your owner’s manual or the Cartridge Replacement video in the Amway Healthy Home app / eSpring Help Desk for your exact model.
  3. Ability to shut off the water supply to the unit, plus a towel.
  4. Time to flush after install (Amway materials call for flushing the new filter—commonly about 5 minutes, and longer if water is not yet clear).

Safety first (official): Unplug the power adapter from the wall outlet before replacing the filter to help prevent electric shock while the cartridge is being changed.

High-level replacement steps (follow your model’s official guide)

Housing details differ by generation (shroud/collar designs vs vessel/handle designs). Use this as a checklist, then match each action to your manual, Help Desk demo, or Healthy Home app Filter Replacement video—do not force parts.

  1. Stage the new cartridge so you are ready when the 100% replace warning appears.
  2. Turn off the water supply as your manual directs. Where applicable, open the tap/diverter on the treated path to relieve pressure and drain residual water.
  3. Unplug the power adapter.
  4. Remove covers / modules as shown for your model (for example: top shroud; on some designs, electronic module and tubing elbows; on others, lift the vessel by its handle).
  5. Remove the used cartridge, empty remaining water from the vessel/base, and dispose of the used filter per local rules.
  6. Install the new cartridge firmly per the guide (seat until it contacts the base; align notches/tabs or lid ribs; secure collar or latch the handle until it clicks).
  7. Reassemble tubing/collar/covers as directed. Check for leaks at connections.
  8. Turn water back on and flush the new filter while watching for leaks. Keep flushing until the water runs clear; if still not clear after repeated flushes, contact Amway Customer Care.
  9. Restore power / replace the cover. Confirm the display or Healthy Home app shows a full/reset cartridge life for your model.

If anything feels stuck or misaligned, stop and open Amway’s official help rather than improvising.

Troubleshooting

Symptom What to try first
Beeping / flashing replace indicator Order at the early warning; replace at the 100% warning. Confirm app/unit shows life reset after install.
Slow flow before a year is up Amway notes water with large amounts of particulates may require changing the cartridge more often to maintain an acceptable flow rate.
Leaks after install Re-seat cartridge, collar/handle, and tubing per the manual; check alignment; re-check while flushing.
Water not clear after flush Continue flushing per your manual; if still not clear after repeated flushes, contact Amway Customer Care.
Unsure which SKU fits Match your unit’s model number to Amway’s product-fit list on the filter PDP (e.g., Item #122943) or ask Amway support / your IBO.
Older vs newer housing Follow the video/PDF for your generation—do not mix steps from a different chassis.

This page cannot diagnose a specific unit. For warranty, registration, or parts issues, use Amway’s eSpring support tools and Customer Care for your market.

Optional: register & reorder habits

Registering your eSpring unit through Amway’s support flow can make ordering a replacement cartridge and reporting service issues easier. Set a reminder at the early warning so the new filter arrives before the replace alert.
